Baby Eliza

Today we got to see Baby Eliza up close and personal. We had a 3D ultrasound and it was able to fill in some gaps and actually show us her pretty little face. We confirmed that it was definitely a girl so we are excited. She is doing great and we even got a little DVD of her moving around in the womb which is awesome. You can see her little heart beating like crazy. How can someone see that and not believe in a creator.

I am so excited that I get to meet her in person soon. I love her so much already I can't imagine how much I will love her when she is out and about. She has "big lips" like her momma and is totally beautiful. We are so blessed and so excited.

Here's a few pics.

it's a 3D type scan so it is a bit fuzzy but it is so amazing how you can actually make out her features a bit. She has her little hand on her head and is desparately trying to sleep while we are making all kinds of noise. I really thought that this kind of opportunity had passed me by. I am so thankful to God for Kristen and my baby Eliza. We are going to have such a blast hanging out together.

The weekend

Tonight we are going to see Comedy of Errors. It will be fun to see it after teaching it for Humanities. Plays aren't meant to be read, they are meant to be seen so I am excited to see how much better I like it.

Tuesday we get to see the 3D 4D ultrasound of Eliza. Very excited. Can't wait.

Today...

Okay I am going to post something. Today I am going to the doctor for evaluation of my allergies. I am a little nervous (big surprise) that they may want to rebuild my nasal passages or something so I am hoping that a little medicine will go a long way.

In other news, I forget if I said, but I am going to be full time in the fall which is awesome for me. I am still not tenure-track but I am "renewable" which is better than simply a one year appointment. So that helps. I am teaching three humanities classes and one history of England class, which is a new class but I still think that I will have a lot of time to work on the dissertation.

I am going to England on May 10 through June 14 and hope to get a year's worth of work done on the dissertation during that time. Kristen will come over in the middle for a week and I am excited about that. I don't like leaving her at this time but I have to finish. So be sure to try to hang out with her during that time.

Gotta run to lecture..

Today may be the day...

I am so excited about being a dad. Tonight we are having an ultrasound and may get to know if it is a little boy or little girl. Either way is exciting. I am so glad that our family is going to be three of us. Well actually five, since Maybelle and Elvis (our dogs) count too.
